Setting Dietary Tags and Nutritional Information on Modifiers

Add dietary tags and nutrition facts directly to menu modifiers in Stream.

Written by Gildas Burnel

You can now set dietary tags (e.g. vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free) and nutritional information (such as calories) directly on modifiers, the same way you already could on menu items.

Setting dietary tags and nutrition on a modifier

  1. Open the menu item that contains the modifier group you want to edit.

  2. Select the modifier you want to update.

  3. Click on the modifier's details panel.

  4. Add the relevant dietary tags and/or nutritional values.

5. Save your changes, then publish your menu to push the update to your connected delivery platforms.

You can also make this change in bulk across many modifiers at once — see Bulk Editing Menu Items and Modifiers.

This release also unlocked direct allergen editing on modifiers for POS integrations that previously required setting allergens in the POS itself — see (FAQ) Adding Allergens on Toast for an example.
