How to Set Up Scheduled / Future Orders on Micros Simphony

A quick guide to enabling scheduled and future orders on Micros Simphony by configuring the Service Level Time on your Order Type in the EMC.

Written by Marc Marras

Symptom: Future / scheduled orders fail on Simphony with the error "Order Type is not Configured with a Lead Time — Pickup Time cannot be calculated." ASAP orders work fine.

This is fixed in the Simphony EMC by setting a Service Level Time on the Order Type used for pickup.

1. Open the Simphony EMC and go to Enterprise → Setup → Order Type Parameters

2. Select the Order Type used for pickup

If you're unsure which one, it's typically the first or default Order Type for your revenue center.

3. Set the Service Level Time field to a value in minutes (e.g. 30)

4. Click Save

5. Place a test future order to confirm it injects successfully

Still failing? Order Channels override Order Types in Simphony. If your Order Channel's Service Level Time is set to 0, it will cancel out the value you just set.

Go to Enterprise → Setup → Order Channels, find the channel in use (often "Default"), and make sure its Service Level Time is also set — not 0.
