(FAQ) Why Did My ezCater Catering Order Change Before It Fired?

How Stream handles updates ezCater sends to a scheduled catering order before it's sent to your POS.

Written by Gildas Burnel

Scheduled ezCater orders can change before they reach your POS

When a customer places a catering order through ezCater for a future date or time, Stream holds that order and only sends it to your POS shortly before it's due to fire.

What happens if the customer changes their order

If the customer adjusts their order through ezCater, for example changing item quantities, before Stream sends it to your POS, Stream now automatically applies those changes so the order that reaches your POS matches what the customer actually ordered.

Do I need to do anything?

No. This happens automatically — there's no setting to turn on and no action required on your end. If you notice a held ezCater order that looks different from what a customer says they ordered, contact Stream support with the order ID and we'll take a look.
